Quick Start

Start scanning in AYAsec by adding a target, verifying ownership, launching checks, and reading the first security report.

Run your first AYAsec scan against a domain in a couple of minutes, straight from the dashboard.

Prerequisites

  • An AYAsec account and a workspace to add targets to
  • A domain you own or have permission to scan - AYAsec only observes from outside, but please scan responsibly

1. Add a target

From Assets Discovery → Assets , choose Add Asset and enter the hostname you want to monitor. You can also type a new domain directly in the Quick Scan or Advanced Scan dialog. Before a security scan can start, verify ownership via a DNS TXT record ( _ayasec-verified. ), a .well-known file, or an HTML meta tag. The target page explains which value to publish and lets you retry verification.

2. Run a scan

Use Quick Scan for the common security checks with sensible defaults, or choose Advanced Scan when you need to select individual scan types and tune options. The security scan types are TLS, HTTP, Ports, DNS, and Credibility; Discovery is launched separately from Assets Discovery because it maps assets before you decide what to scan. HTTP scans additionally let you choose a profile:

  • Passive - fingerprinting and header analysis only, no attack traffic
  • Active - adds live vulnerability checks
  • Extended - a deeper crawl and broader active assessment

Advanced Scan can also scan all resolved IPv4/IPv6 addresses for TLS, Ports, or both, use a custom IP/port for HTTP, and provide a saved session-login configuration or a static request header for HTTP scans.

Most scans finish in well under a minute; Discovery and Extended HTTP scans take longer since they enumerate a larger surface.

3. Read the report

Every finished scan opens a report with a score, a letter grade, and findings grouped by severity. Reports default to a Brief view (issues only); switch to Full to see every section, including informational findings and the raw technical detail (open ports, DNS records, cipher suites, and so on). Both views can be exported as PDF.
